What Jesus Says to a Complacent Church

Join us over the coming months for an enlightening journey through the most influential text in history - the book of Genesis. We will answer life’s truly big questions: 'Who are we?', 'How did we get here?’, 'What went wrong?' and 'How do we fix it?’ All welcome.

David was a man after God’s own heart, but he also made mistakes – many of them!  Join us this Sunday as Brodie dives into the story of David and Bathsheba and discusses how we can learn from David and develop better mental resolve. 

An infamous episode from the pages of history will be our stepping off point as we draw on Philippians 3:7-14 in order to challenge ourselves to leave the past behind & step into a new day that God is calling us to.  

A wedding runs out of wine, and Jesus is asked to help. What on the surface seems like a relatively minor act of compassion is in fact a sign to far deeper and more wonderful truths that will be revealed at the cross of Calvary.    

Join us this Sunday 10am either in-person or online as look at the famous episode of Jesus being baptised by John in the River Jordan and ask what it means for us today.

Genesis 1: 1-5(NIV)
 
V1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
V2 Now the earth was formless and empty, the darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
V3 And God said , “Let there be light”, and there was light. 
V4 God saw that the light was good , and he separated the light from the darkness. 
V5 God called the light ”day” and the darkness he called “night”. And there was evening and there was morning- the first day.
 
 
John 3: 19-21(NIV)
 
V19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
V20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
V21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly what he has done has been done through God.

Join us on Christmas Morning as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, our 'Emmanuel'! We will explore the true meaning of Christmas by hearing an inspiring story about three trees who each played a part in the life of Jesus, and explore why all of this indeed brings joy to the world!  

When a teenage girl discovers she is pregnant through the Holy Spirit, she has every reason to be fearful. But having faith in God’s goodness, she sings of the magnificent truth that, from generation to generation, all peoples will be blessed as a result of the child she bears.    

Over 400 years before that fateful night in Bethlehem, the prophet Malachi foretold God’s breaking into human history. But far from picturing a silent night of new-born bliss, Malachi warns us of far more confronting scenes as God comes to cleanse and purify.
